Our story
Northman was founded from first-hand entrepreneurial experience. What started as a solution for our own international business grew into a platform that supports Dutch entrepreneurs with international company structures in the UAE.
Our journey began in 2022 with a practical need within our own industrial wholesale business. As our international activities expanded, we wanted to serve customers outside Europe more effectively through a local presence. This led us to explore the UAE in greater depth, including its corporate environment, legal framework and potential tax advantages. Rather than approaching the UAE purely from a tax perspective, we focused on a structure that was commercially practical, legally sound and sustainable for the long term.
As we developed our own UAE structure, entrepreneurs within our network became increasingly interested in what we had created and asked whether we could help them do the same. In 2023 we incorporated our first Free Zone company focused specifically on establishing and supporting international UAE structures for Dutch entrepreneurs. By the end of 2023 the first ten client structures had been established and were actively managed by our team. What began as an internal solution had become a growing specialist service.
In 2024 Northman entered its next phase of growth. Our participation in Masters Expo and the Masters Summer Edition significantly increased awareness among Dutch entrepreneurs and investors. Combined with referrals from our network, this led to rapid growth in clients and structures under management. At the same time we kept developing our approach around one core principle: international structuring should combine opportunity with proper governance, substance and compliance.
2025 focused on further professionalising the organisation. We expanded our team with additional specialists and accountants in the UAE, giving clients broader local support and allowing us to handle more services in-house. Our growing local presence strengthened areas such as company administration, accounting, tax compliance, local management and ongoing corporate support. At the end of 2025 Northman once again participated successfully in Masters Expo.
In 2026 we took another important step with the incorporation of Northman Global LLC, our UAE mainland company. Together with a new office location and an expanded local team, this provides the foundation for the next phase of growth. The new structure lets us expand our services while keeping the qualities Northman was built on: specialist knowledge, direct communication and a highly personal approach.
Northman did not originate from a theoretical concept. We experienced the questions, opportunities and challenges of international expansion ourselves, and that experience still defines how we work. We combine practical entrepreneurial experience with specialist knowledge in both the Netherlands and the UAE, helping clients build international structures that are commercially effective, professionally managed and designed for long-term compliance.
